BAFIM 09: Exhibitors registration

The General Direction of Creative Industries and Foreign Trade calls companies and organizations linked to the music industry from Argentina and the rest of the world to participate of BAFIM’s Trade Fair area. The Fair will take place between the 19th and 22nd of November, 2009, in the City of Buenos Aires.

The call prioritizes the participation of the agents that form the value chain of the music industry, that is: companies related to the production, postproduction, distribution (physical and digital), amongst others. In a second stance, it will also select proposals by other companies or related institutions.

Besides the stand at the Trade Fair, selected exhibitors who can comply with the rest of the conditions required will be listed in the official catalogue, which will be distributed amongst the visitors of BAFIM, as well as in the online database.  Exhibitors will also be able to suggest artists for BAFIM’s program. The inclusion (or exclusion) of those artists will be defined by BAFIM.

Registration deadlines
Companies and Organizations – Argentina: September, 23th.
Companies and Organizations – Abroad: September the 28th.
Parties interested should download, print and fill the forms requested. Once completed, they should mail the documents to the General Direction of Creative Industries and Foreign Trade (Villarino 2498, Buenos Aires, ZIP: C1273AEB). People residing outside Buenos Aires shall mail the documents. If you want to apply for an international stand and have any questions, please contact us at musicnet.bafim@gmail.com.

The document contains the terms and conditions, forms and models for stand registration, authorization for the use of the company’s/organization’s/artist’s image, commitment letter, commitment for the conditions of the stand after its use and call for artists.

Assessment and awarding
The presentations will be assessed according to its feasibility, pertinence and originality of the proposal, actual insertion of the applicant in the music market, quality of the products in exhibition, availability of the products for its sale, price range, feasibility of the commercialization of the products at BAFIM, outstanding cultural interest of the proposal and general image of the company. 
The results of the call and the awarding of the stands will be notified per e-mail alter October the 5th.

Second presentation
Between the 5th and 16th, successful applicants will have to present a second set of documents including the stand design project and the commitment letter, signed. These documents will also have to be scanned and sent per e-mail, and presented on arrival to Buenos Aires.

Additional Schedule
Construction of Stands: Nov. 17th & 18th.
Technical supervision in charge of security engineer: Nov. 17th & 18th.
Approval of stands round: Nov. 18th, 12:00 hs.
Opening of the Fair: Nov. 18th, 10hs.
Open to public: Nov 19th-22nd, 15-22 hs.
Dismantling of stands: Nov 23rd.
